Ferrari at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans

The classic Ford vs Ferrari battle reignited at this year’s running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Risi Competizione’s #82 Ferrari 488 GTE placed second, effectively splitting a possible Ford 1-2-3.

Driver’s Giancarlo Fisichella, Toni Vilander and Matteo Malucelli finished on the same lap as the winning Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT.

Three cars in the GTPro class were of the new 488GTE specification, while all the GTam cars were the older 458 GTC design.

2016 was epic for the #82, led for 14 hours, but the Ford’s were just too fast down the Mulsanne……the Risi Ferrari will be back in GT-PRO in 2019….
