At this year’s Retromobile sale, RM Auctions anounced they would sell the most unusual Ferrari.
That is the 1950 Ferrari 166 MM/212 Export l’Uovo “The Egg” built on chassis 024 MB.
The design is credited to Fontana who rebodied the car for Scuderia Marzotto in 1950. In this guise it ran the Mille Miglia twice.
RM says “Acquired by its owner in 1986, it is a veteran of multiple Mille Miglia Storica and has also spent time on display in the Museo Enzo Ferrari. Not seen publically for many years, it remains highly eligible for a number of vintage racing and concours events.”
The car will be availble at RMSotheby’s Monterey auction on 18-19 August 2017.
