RM Sotheby’s will offer 1957 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ chassis 0805 GT/0619 GT at their upcoming sale in Amelia Island on 12 March 2016.
The car was originally ordered by Pierre Noblet who had the car renumbered to avoid to French tax when new from 0805 GT to 0619 GT.
He had a great time using the car for two years, but in 1968 a different owner crashed the car into a Peugeot factory wall.
By 1973 Wayne Sparling revived the car with a new nose section and maintained the car for 40 years. He displayed it more recently at the 2005 and 2008 Cavallino Classics.
